Description: The purpose of this 1999 wetlands data is to provide a spatial and tabular representation of wetlands as of across the County for planning and regulatory decision support. The Wetlands Dataset is for planning purposes only. The data is based on the best information available to the County. Therefore, the data contained may be subject to alteration and modification based on new or different information and, or, changing conditions. The County, therefore, makes no guaranty, warranty, promise, or assurances as to the accuracy thereof. Wetlands identified are not all inclusive. The absence or presence of jurisdictional wetlands can only be determined by an on-site investigation conducted in accordance with the current Federal wetland determination methodology. Absence or presence of critical wetland status can only be determined by an investigation conducted in accordance with current local and federal methodology. Original wetland delineations were based on 1980 high altitude aerial photo interpretation done by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Conservation (now IDNR). The compilation map scale for this work was 1:24,000.
