Service Description:

Geiger Mode LiDAR data ≥30ppm encompassing approximately 363 square miles within DuPage County, Illinois. A total of 1619 Customer Tiles make up this AOI. The source, Geiger-mode LiDAR sensor is specifically designed to maximize coverage, and minimize cost in acquiring highly accurate, high-density data, of exceptional quality, and provides the unique technology that shall satisfy DuPage Counties ability to identify and manage assets. Note: This data was collected while a USGS project was collected in the North Eastern Illinois counties (McHenry, Lake, Kane and Cook counties). Since DuPage is between Kane and Cook county, DuPage was essentially "collected" but not delivered as part of the NEIL delivery. DuPage county bought up the collected data to have it classified and in hopes that it would be up to the USGS LiDAR Base specifications Version 1.2. However, since there were no vegetative checkpoints collected - the data could not be verified to be up to the Vertical Accuracy Standards. Users should keep this in mind while using this data.
